To avoid confusion: the line “Is Jason racin’?” was never intended as a reference to one of the Jasons actually racing in the series. Or at HSO for that matter.

About the time I edited the movie, the fans of Belgian football club Standard de Liege deployed a banner at one of their team’s games that caused quiet some commotion in the media back then. The banner (see pic above) pictured Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13^th fame. I rewatched some of the old Friday the 13^th movies in the wake of that and that co-inspired the Bryar movie. The idea was that the lake inside Bryar might just be Camp Crystal Lake. So no reference to any HSO Jason and apologies for any confusion this may have caused back in the days.
